It has been a blast having chickens. Not only do we get great fresh eggs but now that they are free ranging and regularly visiting the barn the mouse population has gone way down. Of course now Mr. Cat doesn't have as much to do. He probably just thinks he now has a (feathered) staff to do the heavy lifting for him so he can attend to his more regal duties of being His Royal Highness Prince Gallant the Handsome Cat.
