Program Description: This two and a half day overnight camp is a multi-lesson style format that benefits the young rider. Riders will experience 3 instructors in lessons both on and off the horse. This program will be held over a weekend with horse and riders arriving on Friday night and staying through Sunday afternoon. The program will include ground and riding instruction in fundamentals of dressage and will include some cross training in jumping. The two days will be filled with riding and classroom instruction from quality riding instructors and guest speakers (veterinarian, saddle fitter, farrier). Riding will include both dressage and jumping instruction which will focus on development of the young rider's seat and connection.The final activity on Sunday will involve the camper choosing a dressage test to ride, with the dressage instructor/judge reviewing it with them afterwards. This will enable the young riders to enhance their comprehension of what is expected when riding an actual dressage test.

Age Requirement : 10 to 21 years
Number of Auditor Participants: unlimited
Cost per Participant: $80 for GCC member, $120 For non GCC Member (recommend becoming member before camp)
Cost per Auditor: $20 per day

Denise Liagle: A Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Central Oklahoma. Owner of Southerly Winds Farm, active FEI trainer and competitor, USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist, and also an USDF "L" judge "with distinction. She is currently working on Grand Prix.

The Grand National Morgan show is holding 2 1/2 days of dressage at the Oklahoma City Fairgrounds on October 9 - 11th and we are looking for workers!

We need two scribes, a scorer, a bit checker and runners each day. They provide wonderful lunches and snacks and we can reimburse for travel, etc. It is also a good opportunity for juniors in need of service hours.

The judges are Sue Malone Casey and Dolly (Janet) Hannon. Both wonderful ladies to work with and learn from.

Hi everybody,
here is the registration form for the March clinic with Sarah Martin. The cost will be $120/private and $75/semi private. If you want to do a semi private you need to find your own partner. It will be held at Kay Kamish's Rivendell Farm. Kay will handle the stalls for both overnight and day.

Sarah has to leave on Sunday so that will be a shorter day with only room for 6 rides, so only people riding all 3 days will get those spots.

Please return your forms to me with a $50 deposit, with the balance due February 25.

Tom Poulin will be doing a clinic on Monday and Tuesday, June 20th and 21st, after the Green Country show in June. It will be at Judie Blumenthal's in Oklahoma City. In addition to being an excellent "S" judge, Tom believes that dressage is about training, not about breeding, Trained in the classical style, Tom was the assistant coach to both the Mexican and Swedish Olympic teams. He is a superb teacher and unfailingly courteous. He also uses different exercises than I have seen before so the rider has the opportunity to learn new ways of communicating with his/her horse.

People are lining up for this clinic so get your reservations in to me immediately. Reservations will be held by a check for $100.

I have had the pleasure of personally knowing Christian when I lived in Toronto. Whether it was at a horse show or when I asking for assistance while managing the fundraising for CIDRA (the Canadian International Dressage Riders Association), he always went out of his way to say hello and help in any way. He was always very personal, and exceptional in explaining “why & how” in a positive and professional way so one can understand & duplicate when schooling by yourself. Whether you are riding or auditing – we are truly lucky to have someone of this caliber here in Oklahoma City. He would be more than happy to accommodate us every 6 – 10 weeks as he teaches many clinics in California and Toronto should this clinic be successful.

His Training Philosophy: As a rider, trainer, and coach, it is necessary to subordinate one’s own ego to the cause, mutually respect one another, and recognize that the horse dictates the speed of the training. July 2-3, 2011

Ann Guptill is a professional dressage rider, trainer and instructor with
her home base of operation at Fox Ledge Farm. Ann competes a
variety of breeds and types of horses in dressage. Her career
highlights include placing 5th individually at the 1987 Pan American
Games and helping secure the Team Silver Medal. In 1992 she
competed in the final Dressage Selection Trials for the Olympic
Games. In 1991 and 1992 she placed 4th at the US League Finals for
the Dressage World Cup. In addition she has won numerous regional
and national titles at all levels of dressage and continues an active
