Our New Horse
Elizabeth recieved a new horse a few months ago. He has just been a blessed gift to us. His name is Theo a 16.2h Hanoverian. He has quite a personality and I had to share this story with you. It has been quite cold on and off so we decided to see how Theo did with a blanket on. Well turns out he just loves his blanket. Once he was settled in we put Theo in the barn with the others. He has a nice big stall and him and my mare just love each other. Well it wasn't cold enough to blanket them one night so Elizabeth hung the blankets across a center gate that separate the horses from the Tack area. When I went in the next morning to feed, I couldn't not believe my eyes. The blankets are hung near the stall, but it would take quite the magician to get to them from the horses perspective. Well, there was Theo laying in the corner of his stall when I noticed his Blanket was with him, he had half of it underneath him and the other half wrapped over him all cozy like. I just about died laughing and wished I had brought my camera in with me. I knew he loved that blanket but did not realize how much. We still cannot figure how he pulled that huge heavy blanket into the stall with him and positioned it just right.
It makes me want to put video cameras in the barn so I can see what they are up to sometimes. =) Anywho that is my funny story, hope you get a giggle out of it too.
